Vision

The Office of Women’s Health envisions a Rhode Island where women live to their optimal level by achieving an ideal state of health.  This includes body, mind, spirit, and an environment where basic needs are met.

Mission

The Office of Women’s Health strives to improve the health status of Rhode Island women and girls by advocating for resources and services which address women’s health issues across the lifespan.  To accomplish this, the Office will:

  • Coordinate internal and external efforts,
  • Leverage resources for programs and services using a holistic perspective,
  • Develop policies that support the health and well-being of women and girls,
  • Increase the visibility and the importance of women’s health issues,
  • Collaborate with agencies and organizations which serve and support women and girls, and
  • Foster and facilitate new and innovative practices using a multicultural and gender-based approach.
